The Point Guard Mentality
by Steve Smiley:
Appendix by Jerry Meyer

"In the thirty-two years of coaching college basketball, I
have had the opportunity to work with some very good
point guards. None were better than Steve Smiley and
Jerry Meyer. Steve's play in our conference tournament
will always remain one of the most gratifying memories of
my coaching career. He responded to a challenge and lead
us all to victory by doing the dirty jobs...defending the star,
screening, taking charges, etc. You will enjoy learning from
two of the very best to play the point guard position."
Coach Meyer
The 2002-2003 Player Notebook
by Sundance Wicks:

"The work that Sundance Wicks has done in
this notebook is great, but it pales in
comparison to what he did as a leader for us
from the first day he stepped onto our campus
at Northern State University.  I can safely say
that in my 32 years of head coaching at the
collegiate level I have never had a player who
was a better leader than Sunny was each of the
four years he played at Northern."

The 2004 S&S Basketball School Camps were a huge
success! Our first ever camp, held at Calvary Church
in Westminster, Colorado (near Denver) in June was
definitely small, with only 12 campers, but it was still a
great success.  Our second camp, held in July at the
Calvary Church was much larger, with nearly 40
campers from elementary to high school players, and
from schools throughout the Denver area. It was
indeed a great summer and hopefully a sign of better
things to come!!
